That is the question. Do you really want to be
healthy?
In America 69 Percent of
Adults age 20+ are overweight or obese. The reason I ask do you really want to
be healthy is many want this, but will not put much energy into accomplishing
this task. If you are a serious and determined then you have what it takes to
make a difference in your life forever. Better Sex life, better
endurance, better longevity, better in sports and much more, additionally these
things build confidence in yourself and improves all other functions over all.
I wanted to be totally
healthy so I changed everything in my life to accomplish this, I look half my
age and can out do most people my age and 10-15 years younger.
Many factors are important when it comes to
being healthy. Eating right or what is considered diet, exercise and
spirituality or meditation.
First you have to give
yourself a test to determine if your are overweight, first you need a BMI(Body
Mass Index).
This test determines the
level of fat on your body. These calculators can be found on many sites, just
search the term (02 fitness).
Optimal BMI is between
18.5-24.9%. Next can you jog 1 mile without passing out or stopping, if you
feel like you have run a marathon, your body needs exercise.
Exercise should be given
to your body at least 2 times a week for any man or woman. Going to work is not
exercise no matter what you job function is! Your body needs fine-tuning, in a
four major ways to obtain physical health.
These four are endurance,
balance, strength, and flexibility. With these exercises you are totally
balanced. Last but not least is spirituality and/ or Meditation, this last
major essential of men’s health is as important for the reasons of your brain
working in optimal order, spirituality or meditation or
both helps your brain take
care of the body to the best of it ability.
You must de-stress your
mind! Your brain functions to take care of your body, but you must take care of
it to do that! In todays high stress world, the mind never takes a real break,
with relaxing spirituality or meditation your brain gets to wind down from the
consistent work this is required of it.
This is why sleep is so
important but to get a healthy night’s sleep you must deprogram you brain from
your daily stress.
If these things are to
much for you, you are not ready or serious about being healthy! But if you are
ready the first and most important is “you are what you eat!”
Eating the right foods is
not a diet, it is a choice of healthy eating. Fast foods, cigarettes and soda
are the worst things that you can put in your body! These are toxics and
poisons that destroy your body and mind.
That is the first main
lesson you must change to create a healthy lifestyle, over come that and you
have accomplished a major goal towards becoming Healthy. See you next time
where we will address, the right foods to eat!
